Podcast Development & Production Services

As sophisticated, experienced communicators with strong ties to the nonprofit world, we understand your challenges.

Our woman-owned company doesn’t simply have decades of experience in audio storytelling. For years, we’ve worked closely with nonprofit, public radio and other media networks, and educational institution leaders. We marry these specialties to produce engaging shows that meet your podcast production needs.

We named our company Podcast Allies because we become an integral part of your creative team, and partner with you from conception through production and growth.

Unlike many other podcast production companies, we help you create a smart editorial strategy from the start, one that puts your listeners' needs and desires at the center of the work.

DEVELOPMENT & CONSULTING SERVICES

We help you conceptualize or improve on a compelling podcast or radio show that meets your organization’s goals — whether you’re trying to build a movement, captivate listeners with a narrative podcast, share research and education, grow brand awareness, increase share of voice, raise funds, hold the powerful accountable through great journalism, and more.

Advisory Services

When the idea to launch (or upgrade) a podcast arises, it’s helpful to have an experienced executive producer “in the room” with stakeholders and decision makers. We serve as your strategic advisor. We help you understand all of the right goal-setting, editorial, creative, ethical, marketing, staffing, budget, time and resource questions to ask while you decide whether, and how, podcasting best fits into your communications plans.

Visioncasting

Visioncasting is the first step after deciding that you want to launch or transform a podcast or radio show. Launches are far more successful when they start with a clear strategy and blueprint for execution.

Visioncasting not only aligns your podcast with your goals, it helps get all of your stakeholders on the same page. Depending on the package, the outcome is a custom editorial plan that serves as both a long-term and day-to-day map for producing your standout show. Options include:

  • Half-day sessions for teams of up to six people (includes pre-work and a follow-up report)

  • Full-day sessions (includes pre-work and a custom editorial plan).

  • Nonprofit rates available. Rates adjusted for larger groups.

Ongoing Consulting

The need to shape the content and style of your show is not done once you launch. Clients find that ongoing consulting on editorial strategy, execution and performance, including host coaching, make significant differences in the consistency, quality and audience fit of your show.

PODCAST PRODUCTION SERVICES

Full-Service Production

Our full-service offering. Our teams of experienced producers, writers, story and audio editors become your “in-house” production company. We produce your show from start to finish, from concept through editorial and production planning to post-production — and even audience development as an optional service.

Specific tasks are show dependent and can include season planning and project management; guest/source curation and booking; pre-interviews; scripting, editing and table reads; “in-studio” producing; sound design, audio editing, mixing and mastering; trailer production; show packaging and publishing; recruiting and auditioning hosts; and even providing our own hosts.

Share-the-Workload Production Services

Don’t need full service? We’ll customize the offering so you get only what you really need, whether that’s showrunning or story editing, host coaching, or post-production.

Podcast Production Client Spotlight

Degrees: Real talk about planet-saving careers, Environmental Defense Fund

Environmental Defense Fund had a problem: They had started a podcast in-house.  But their show was far from compelling. When their comms team heard about Podcast Allies, they halted their in-house production. We worked with EDF to develop, produce and grow what would be a brand new show: Degrees: Real talk about planet-saving careers. Now in its sixth season, Degrees is in the top 1.5% of all podcasts globally, reaches listeners in 189 countries, and has been one of the top 10 careers podcasts on Apple Podcasts. Degrees has positioned EDF as the authority on green careers—the biggest job opportunity of our lifetimes.

“This podcast is hands down the best thing I’ve ever worked on. So proud to have been part of this incredible team, and tremendous kudos to Yesh Pavlik Slenk & Amy Morse & Podcast Allies, LLC. And for anyone looking to change the world — through their day job — Degrees is for you!”

Cristina Mestre, former Communications Director, Environmental Defense Fund

“Podcast Allies’ partnership in producing our show has been invaluable. They bring not only technical experience but also vision, world-class standards and soul into everything they do. We wouldn’t be where we are today without them.”

Yesh Pavlik Slenk, Host of Degrees, Environmental Defense Fund

Pediatrics On Call, The American Academy of Pediatrics

When The American Academy of Pediatrics was ready to launch its own podcast, their communications leaders turned to Podcast Allies for expertise.  We helped them develop the editorial concept, format, strategy, content and tone for Pediatrics on Call. We auditioned hosts and produced several pilot episodes. It hit #5 in Apple’s top medical podcasts within a week of its launch and today has been downloaded more than two million times. With 68,000 members, the AAP is the nation’s preeminent professional association of pediatricians and other child health providers.

“Podcast Allies’ knowledge, experience and wisdom was incredibly helpful in guiding our way. They were responsive, insightful, and a pleasure to work with.”

Susan Stevens Martin, Director of News, Media, and Public Relations, American Academy of Pediatrics
